Subject: SSL Email Notice

As an enhanced security feature, Main Seqeunce Technologies will be enabling Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for all outgoing email servers on our network late in the the evening of September 10, 2009. After this change is made, PCRecruiter will now attempt to connect to outgoing email servers with a secured connection when sending mail.

For most users this will be an invisible change, however some email servers do not support SSL connections, and may return an error message. If you find yourself unable to send email from your PCRecruiter database (with or without an error message) after this change, your mail server may be one of those that does not support SSL.

You may direct your system to use an un-secured email connection by going to SYSTEM >> Console: Data Locations/System Setup/Utilities >> Edit Database Names and Locations. Click "GO" and then look under "Outgoing Mail Settings" in the left side menu. There you will find a field marked "SMTP Server Name (Outgoing Mail)" that contains the server name or IP address of your outbound mail server. By adding the :NOSSL suffix to that setting, you can indicate to the system that non-SSL email should be used. (e.g. smtp.myserver.com:NOSSL). If you are using SMTP servers for individual user email aliases, you may also need to add the :NOSSL suffix to servers under SYSTEM >> Email Setup >> Alias Address List.

The PCRecruiter.net ASP is currently experiencing a problem which will affect users of the PCRecruiter Integrated Email (PCRMail) features. This area of the program is temporarily unavailable. Our technical leads are currently investigating and expect to have the issue resolved soon.

Management Recruiters International Users: PCRecruiter.net is currently experiencing a connection issue to the MRINetwork.
